Hoo boy. Baby's first competition...

2/13/2025

Currently Listening to Trust Ceremony (Album) by Jhariah as I write this.

I'm currently sitting at college waiting for the school's Coding Competition to start and I want to get some anxieties off of my chest.

This will likely be a short post since I don't have a lot of time (15 minutes as of writing).

I know nothing about this competition...

I only really committed to this yesterday where I decided I needed something happening in my life outside of the normal college stuff. I'm not a fantastic programmer by any means, but I wanted a chance to challenge myself. Game jams are fun and all, but they don't give me coding skills that are useful for professional coding projects. I need real projects that force me to work with bare C# to give me the knowledge I seek.

This isn't to say game jams are useless for me, they're very fun to be a part of, and do give me time management skills, but those jams don't force me to use base C#. Typically I'm using something like Godot to make my games.

What are you worried about?

Lots of things, so I'll make a list to save me time.

I'd like to talk more but I need time to calm down and focus before it starts so BYE TAKE CARE!!!
