I'm currently sitting at college waiting for the school's Coding Competition to start and I want to get some anxieties off of my chest.
This will likely be a short post since I don't have a lot of time (15 minutes as of writing).
I only really committed to this yesterday where I decided I needed something happening in my life outside of the normal college stuff. I'm not a fantastic programmer by any means, but I wanted a chance to challenge myself. Game jams are fun and all, but they don't give me coding skills that are useful for professional coding projects. I need real projects that force me to work with bare C# to give me the knowledge I seek.
This isn't to say game jams are useless for me, they're very fun to be a part of, and do give me time management skills, but those jams don't force me to use base C#. Typically I'm using something like Godot to make my games.
Lots of things, so I'll make a list to save me time.
